It's only 8 days now until Miles Away is finally published. It's been a long but very enjoyable process getting this far, and as it's my debut novel I still feel like I'm only just starting out.
As I get ready for the thousands of sales ("aye, right!"- as we say in Scotland) I am torn between wondering how to promote the book and getting on with writing. I have started a sequel to Miles Away - I've not yet decided on the title - and I am relishing finding out for myself what happens to the characters next as well as letting them meet new ones. It really is the best hobby, being able to "make stuff up". Make people up, even!
